IMOD has at least 2 titles over that period (maybe 3?).
How do we factor in the sectionals effect? Teams like Berzerk and Guanxi, and Yoink on Mondays (and many others) couldn't even participate, let alone bring their A game for the playoffs in years when sectionals conflicted. |

Based on the criteria outlined - I think you have to favour Wed and Mon night teams (widely seen as the most competitve nights). I also give extra points for league titles....so my top 5 teams goes like this:
1) Redi
2) Sweet
3a) Mandrew
3b) Union/Hammers
4) Goldfish (yeah right!) |

Wow... I'll bite on this Shane (it's 4:50pm after all!!)
Interesting discussion... especially if you look at it as "Best Team of All-Time" vs. "Best League Team Franchise"
After thinking about both... I guess the criteria would be the same:
1. Total/Single Regular Season Record
2. League Night they play (and calibre of competition)
3. End of Season Championship(s)
4. Overall Spirit/Reputation
Anything I'm forgetting..?
And shame on you for not hiding 'Cool' somewhere in there.... |

Interesting - thanks Greg (for making me feel old)! Had a lively debate with another TUC vet last week. The question - whom do you consider to be the best (start by defining "the best") 5 TUC league teams over the past 10 years? Some teams to consider (in no particular order):
- Mandrew
- Redi
- Prego/Union/Big Hammers
- Sweet
- Red October
- Yoink
- Goldfish
- Hot Cousin
- Guanxi
- I am sure I missed a few others?
Go! |

Well done, lads and lasses! I'll have to update my Co-ed touring history page, and am happy to see that my final prediction came true early.
Shamus, as far as I was able to discover, no Toronto co-ed team has ever won gold at Nationals (it was only added as a division in 1999).
1999: Thrive silver
2000: Nine Inch Ales bronze
2002: Mon Ami Burundi silver
2004: BMF silver, Bodhi bronze
2006: BMF bronze
2012: Union silver |

Silver medal at CUC for Union, very impressive. Congrats for all of your hard work and training.
CUC Trivia:
Old timers out there - who was the last TO team to win a mixed title at CUC? BMF finished 2nd in Van and 3rd in Halifax, Bodhi took bronze as well I believe in Van. Who was the last TO based mixed team to take home the gold? |
