Fall Playoffs Recap

Fall Indoor League Champs

The minor premiership of the Parity League goes to Baron Lam's St. Pats. Though they could not make it past Andrew Guzzwell's Black 'awks in the semi's, they ended up with the same win loss record and a higher 'goals for' stat. In a heavily spectated game, Lawrence Wong's Catradiens (formerly known as the Cunning Lindquists but before that the Catradiens) took the championship away from the Black 'awks in a close game, 20-17.

Our Monday Intermediate champions come from a solid group of UofT players, who took out the lossless Mega Gooch & The Swagger, 20-15 to take the league. The only time these teams had met before ended in an 18-18 draw.

The big guns of Monday night, Wildcard remained undefeated all season, taking out Not The Prankstahs for the Elite Championship. Not only that, they put on throwing clinics whilst they did it. During their pool play games, more goals were scored with upside down throws than conventional throws.

Tuesday featured a final between Buttermilk and the Disciples of Love. This was not only a league final but a decider between these two teams. They had played twice during the season, both coming away with a win each. In the end though, it was Buttermilk with a convincing win, 22-16.

The Women's league final was between Team 2 and Team 4. Although Team 4 finished higher on the points ladder with more wins and a higher plus minus value, Team 2 stole the final from them and won the season, winning where it really counts! The final score was 10-14

Slam Dunks are the Wednesday night intermediate/recreational champions. They took Panic! in the finals and the game, 24-18. A closer game for Panic! than the last time they met, but not strong enough to give Slam Dunks a scare. Slam Dunks finished the season with 0 losses and 1 draw.

Dr. D took on Sir Discalot in their 4th matchup for the season. Their first two games were universe point wins for Dr. D. The third game, Sir Discalot almost tripled Dr. D's score, certainly making up for the other two close losses! In the finals the score was back to a close game that ended up 29-25 for Dr D.
