Spring 4-on-4 Tournament: April 14th @ Lamport

TUC's Spring Tournament will be held on Saturday April 14th and will run from 4pm to 7pm indoors at Lamport Stadium. TUC is excited to announce the format of this tournament will be changing to 4 on 4 for the coming year with a suggested skill level being intermediate/competitive/elite. Toronto is home to the World Under-23 Ultimate Championships in 2013 and the WU23 Organizing Committee is seeking volunteers to join its management team! More Indoor Clinics for February and March

Do you feel lost on the field? Need to sharpen your skills? The Toronto Ultimate Club will be hosting another indoor clinic this winter for all players looking to improve their game play. This clinic will take place at the newly domed field at Downsview Park and is targeted towards advanced level players. This clinic takes place on March 11th from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.

TUC Presents the 8th Annual 'Catch the Spirit' High School Tournament

The Toronto Ultimate Club will be hosting its 8th annual Catch the Spirit Co-Ed High School Ultimate Tournament on Thursday February 23rd & Friday February 24th, 2012. All tournament action will take place indoors at The Downsview Hangar.TUC's two-day celebration of Ultimate brings together great schools from across the GTA and places an emphasis on the spirit of the game, skill development for all players, plus balanced competition for all the teams involved. Catch the Spirit is also an amazing opportunity to get your team warmed up for the upcoming school season. Thursday will feature 16 'B' Division schools while Friday we will have approximately 12 'A' Division schools playing it out.

Please take note of the following tournament rules: Teams may have up to 18 players on their roster. For any additional players after 18 a $10 per player fee will be required upon check-in. 2011 Volunteer Tournament

2011 Volunteer Tournament Champions - Can I Buy a Foul?A great group of TUC volunteers came out to Lamport Stadium on Saturday afternoon - November 26th to play in a fun HAT tournament followed by a get-together at Brazenhead Pub. This free tournament was designed to recognize and reward all the great work done by volunteers over the past year. Television Game-Shows was the tournament theme and players split up into 6 HAT teams. In the finals we saw 'Can I Buy a Foul?' representing Wheel of Fortune edge out the 'Gratuitous Squares' representing Hollywood Squares for the tournament title.

Congratulations to all volunteer tournament participants and special mention goes out to the tournament captains; James McCully, Lawrence Wong, Andrew Milne, Hilary Leung, Joe Castro and Craig Stephen. Captains were winners of the 'Team Naming Contest' and some great VC gear. 2011 Junior's Open House

On Saturday June 25, 2011, 11am to 1pm, at Sunnybrook Park TUC we will host our 3rd Annual Juniors Open House where kids of all ages can come to learn about Ultimate Frisbee. The open house will be on rain or shine! We work with youth and parents to teach:

  • how to properly throw and catch an ultimate frisbee
  • the simple rules of the game
  • the most important aspect of Ultimate, the Spirit of the Game, which encourages players to self-referee and play with true sportsmanship and respect

This Open House is geared towards youth ages 8 to 14 and is FREE of charge. No experience necessary. You can find a flyer here that you can pass on to friends and families.

Spirit Hat Tournament
