Womxn’s Masters Clinics Spark Growth and Community on the Field

Over the past month, Toronto’s Ultimate community came together for two incredible nights of spirited play and skill development at the Womxn’s Masters Clinics hosted by Lore Ultimate on March 19 and April 16.

These clinics welcomed womxn aged 30+ of all skill levels for high-energy evenings filled with warmups, focused drills, and fast-paced scrimmages. Each session offered a supportive environment where athletes could grow their game, connect with peers, and build confidence on the field—whether they were returning veterans or new to competitive ultimate.

The March and April sessions saw fantastic turnout, with players showing up ready to learn, compete, and have fun. The focus wasn’t just on physical performance—it was about fostering leadership, inclusion, and joy in the game.

We’re incredibly grateful to Lore Ultimate for leading both nights with passion, knowledge, and a strong commitment to growing the womxn’s game. Their leadership is helping to shape a stronger, more vibrant master's community in Toronto and beyond.

Lore Ultimate is hosting a special Womxn’s Masters Clinic this Wednesday, April 16th from 10:00 PM to 10:55 PM at Monarch Park Stadium (Field 3). This session is designed for all who identify as women or non-binary and will turn 30 years old or older in 2025 (born in 1995 or earlier).

Whether you're returning to the game, sharpening your skills, or exploring leadership opportunities in the Masters division — this clinic is for you.

From Disc Till Dawn 2025 - Presented by BE Ultimate

Saturday, April 5, 2025 - 23:00 to Sunday, April 6, 2025 - 05:00

TUC and BE Ultimate are pleased to announce our annual overnight tournament, From Disc Till Dawn, which will take place at Downsview Hangar from 11:00 pm on April 5th to 5:00 am on April 6th, 2025.

As a part of the event registration, each participant will receive a special edition BE Ultimate jersey and an UltraSar disc from Discraft. Please register before Monday, March 17th to confirm shirt sizing; the remaining shirts will be a mixed bag trending towards medium sizing.

Please note that since jerseys and discs are ordered for each participant, refunds requested will depend on our ability to find a replacement. TUC reserves the right to provide no refund if there is no one to fill your spot.

Please note, refunds are subject to a 10% administration fee.

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Key Updates for the Upcoming 2025/2026 Season

KEY UPDATES FOR THE UPCOMING 2025/2026 SEASON

TUC leadership wanted to provide our membership with key updates for the upcoming 2025/2026 season as we prepare for the 2025 Summer season.

Updated Refund Policy

TUC has updated its refund policy with important changes regarding the use of existing credits:

No New Credits Issued: As of the 2025/2026 Fiscal Year (April 1st, 2025), TUC will no longer issue credits.
Deadline for Existing Credits: All existing credits must be used by December 31st, 2025. Rights to previously issued credits will be forfeited after this date.
Credit Usage Options: Credits can be applied to membership fees, league fees, or event fees.
Credit Transfers: Players can transfer credits to their team captain to cover individual portions of team fees.

Be sure to plan accordingly and use your credits before the deadline!

New Summer League Option at Lamport Stadium – Thursdays!

TUC is excited to introduce a new Summer Thursday League designed for new and recreational players!

League Details:

Location: All games will be played at Lamport Stadium
Format: 6 vs 6 (minimum 2 men and 2 women on the field)
Game Duration: 70 minutes per game
Seasons: Two 7-week seasons offered throughout the summer
Fees: $650 per team per season
Timeslots: 7:15 PM – 8:25 PM or 8:30 PM – 9:40 PM
Skill Level: Targeted at beginner and recreational players (having a few experienced players per team is encouraged!)

Why Join?

Perfect for New Teams: Play against teams at your level and gain valuable experience.
Coaching Opportunities: Experienced players will be available to provide coaching support.
Bonus Practice: If space allows, we plan to set up one field for clinics, offering players the opportunity to practice and play on the same night.

Registration will open in mid-to-late March.

Note: This league offering is dependent on securing the same Lamport field permits as in previous years.

New Membership Pricing for 2025!

To grow our membership and encourage new players to join, TUC is introducing a new membership fee structure for 2025:

Returning Player Membership: $70 (previously $80)
New Player Membership: $25 (previously $50)

We hope this updated pricing will make it easier for new players to experience Ultimate with TUC and encourage returning members to stay involved.

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation - 2024

Today, we honour the lost children and survivors of the resident school system their families and communities.

We acknowledge the loss, pain, and suffering that the residential school system and anti-indigenous racism have caused our communities, friends and neighbours.

We encourage our club members and allies to take the time to reflect, listen and learn. Learn about our nation's rich history and the diversity of our people and cultures, learn about the residential school system, and refer tot he National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation to understand how we, as individuals can work and contribute to fostering reconciliation and healing.

Lastly, we encourage you to check out the resources on the Government of Canada's National Day of Truth and Reconciliation Website, to learn about Orange Shirt Day, and to check out the broadcast of "Remembering The Children: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation" presented by APTN and the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation.
