Zone defences is a very effective form of defence against teams that are inexperience, have weak handlers or when there is strong wind. It is also an effective way in stopping teams that tend to use the huck as their primary offensive weapon. Zone defences have been evolving over the past few years and there are several types of zones that can be implemented by defences (3-3-1, 2-3-2-1, clam, junk, taxi). This clinic will explain the basic concepts of playing a defensive zone focus around the most common type of zone, the 3-3-1 as well as the offensive strategy to play against a zone defense.
The ZONES clinic will take place on SUNDAY JULY 7th at Monarch Park Stadium from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. The cost is $30 per person for TUC members and $35 NON-TUC Members. Registration is open now for TUC members and non-TUC members
