YOUTH: Saturday's @ CENTRAL TECH - High Schooler's HAT League
All teens under age 19 (recommended 14-18), are invited to participate in the TUC Fall Indoor u19 Programs and/or Leagues. The goals of the programs are: (i) to have fun; (ii) to learn Spirit of the Game; and (iii) to improve individual skills and team strategies.
All participants must be registered as a 2016 TUC Youth member first (cost $35/person) and provide a signed waiver form to the TUC office. Registration is by individual online and participants will be placed onto teams/groups at the field. Coaches will be present at all times.
TUC's High Schooler's HAT League is back for a second year! The format will be a bit different, with the league now becoming a standard 7-on-7 offering using a 4:3 gender ratio (much like outdoor Ultimate) or 5:2 if enough females don't sign-up. This fast-paced, 90-minute game will be offered for all juniors u19 (14-18 age group). The players will be divided evenly into four teams and a ratings ladder will be used to try and balance out the level of play as best we can. All teams will also have Coaches to help assist in the fluidity of a 'competitive' match, score keeping and some minor instruction. The coaches are volunteers from 2014 and 2015 National Championship teams! Registration will be by individual only and players will be allocated to teams, in a true HAT format. This High Schooler's HAT League is truly a stepping stone into Adult Ultimate play with TUC!
Age/Divisions: u19 (ages 14-18); all skill levels are welcome (though some playing experience is suggested)
Format: Co-ed 7-on-7 League with scores and standings
Dates: Starts October 29 and finishes January 21 (11 weeks - NO games on December 24 & 31)
Times: 3:00 - 3:25 pm - lessons by coaches; 3:30 - 4:55 pm - game time
